As a young Marine - long, long ago - I &#039;got&#039; OODA from this example, published in an article in &#039;The Marine Gazette&#039; in 1986 or &#039;87;

&#039;When artillery is falling on where you were thirty minutes ago,  you&#039;re inside your enemies OODA loop.&quot;

Granted the example of receiving fire where you are no longer at doesn&#039;t work for everyone - shrug - it worked for me.

I&#039;ll put that book on my to-read list.</description>
